On Nov. 1, a special dinner was held in the gallery for members of YHC's Friends of the Arts (FOTA) program. To offset tour costs, a percentage of all 2011-2012 FOTA gifts were used to reduce expenses for YHC students. The group heard from the faculty members who led the trip, including Dean of the Division of Fine Arts and Department of Art Chair Ted Whisenhunt, Director of Study Abroad and Lecturer of English Eloise Whisenhunt, Ph.D., and Campus Gate Art Gallery Director and Adjunct Instructor of Art Scott Dean. Three students also recounted their experiences in Italy, including junior English major Heather Poole of Young Harris, junior art major Camden Goddard of Blairsville, and sophomore art major Grace Patterson of Blairsville.
