Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Sure, it's partly for the food, but it's mainly to see my family. Since I've moved away and my siblings and cousins are have grown up and families of their own, it's harder to have all of us together in one place at the same time. We all long to see one another and it seems as if it's always at my parents' house. All of us.

What I'm very thankful for this year is that throughout our lives and no matter where we are on the journey, we've answered the Lord's call in big and small ways. We all have stuck in with Him and He is still changing and shaping our lives one day at a time.

My prayer for all of you who read this newsletter, is that you give thanks for the family around you. Some are following the Lord, some might not be. Some are doing amazing things away from home and others are just starting out. Praise the Lord together for the time that you are sharing around a meal. Catch up with one another and listen out for prayer needs. Enjoy each other!

Remember what Chaplain Beard shared with us last Sunday, in all things, give thanks to the Lord.

What Christmas Means to Me
nativity_scene.jpg
We are a church filled with stories. It's a blessing that we have many cultures and many different backgrounds from different eras, areas and regions.

Christmas time could mean something different to all of us. The coming of Christ could mean so many wonderful things, bring up many different memories about how you celebrate, remember or a tradition that you might have.

Each week in December, Grace Happenings would like to invite you to share what Christmas means to you in the Left Hand Devotional section. Contact Pastor Matt here if you would like to find out how to join in.

Sunday, we are receiving our annual Thanksgiving Offering for World Missions.  Please mark your gift "World Missions" and use one of the Thanksgiving envelopes provided if you wish to support this.
