From Pastor Matt

One of my favorite quotes about evangelism is from St. Francis of Assisi. "Always preach the Gospel, and if necessary, use words." I really like this quote because it sums up what we really should be doing as the body of Christ, living out His love by our actions and not necessarily by what we say.

Sure, we do need to say outright who we serve and watch what we say, but what about when certain life events happen? What is our response? Do we lash out in anger or respond with love? What happens when we get cut off on the interstate? When that person at work comes in and unloads massive amounts of work on you? The last person you want to see come around the corner? What then?

Jesus in John 13:35 says that all people will know that we are his disciples by how we love one another.

What would happen in our everyday world if we showed that love and only if it was necessary...

use words?

Women of Grace News
Ladies, please keep Friday, November 13 open for a time of inspiration, worship and praise as we join with the Washington Crossing Church's "Girls Night Out."  The service will begin at 7:00 p.m. and ladies from GCCN can meet at our church to caravan there, leaving at 6:15 p.m.  This will be a great time for us to be uplifted and experience a closer walk with the LORD.  The cost is $10 and there will be a sign-up sheet Sunday for all those wishing to go.  Don't be deterred by the cost! There are scholarships are available.  Please contact JoAnne Oliver if you have any questions and continue to hold one another up in prayer as we join our hearts and minds together in service to our LORD.
December NYC Trip
Have you ever been in New York City for Christmas? Well now is your chance! We are planning a trip to see the sights in the Big Apple on December 12th. See Amy Weyna for more information!
November Prayer Emphasis
2 Chronicles 7:14 says that we, who are God's people and are called by His name, are to humble ourselves, to pray and to seek His face. Grace Community is in a time of transition. We are still in the search for a new lead pastor. There are many other needs both in the church and in our world. What would happen if we as a church surround each thing that happens in prayer? This November, we will have different opportunities to pray and earnestly seek God's face. We are called to fall on our knees and ask for God's guidance, seek out His will and knock for some doors to be opened.
We know He's listening.
We just need to slow down and ask.
