"Constant Change"

I've heard some complaining this week about how hot the weather is.  Hold on!
Starting this Sunday, the days are getting shorter--winter is on the way!  :-)

California is in drought, Texas is flooded, Alaska is getting forest fires and Antarctica is experiencing historic amounts of ice.
Our planet is always changing and rearranging.

I guess God could have put us on a placid and unchanging surface like Mars appears to be, but instead He gave us a context where no two days are alike.
But within the world, the universe and all of our lives, change is always present.

Life involves unending adaptation.  Just when we think we have got it, the circumstances have changed and we are novices again.
Life-- a stream of new beginnings.

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we have the greatest resources available for addressing and adapting life's changing realities!

God is our Guide, our Helper and our Strength!  As we follow Him, we can face any and every situation with wisdom and confidence.

God instructs us:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  nd the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
Father's Day Sunday, June 21, 2015
Praise God for good and godly fathers!

At GCCN, we have some of the best fathers to be found!

This Sunday, we will honor God's plan for families and fathers in word and prayer.  These are indeed tough days to raise godly children.  But men of God have great resources in God's leading
RockSolid Men Year-end Picnic
Men, our June picnic will take place next Tuesday, June 23 at the church property with set-up beginning about 6:00 pm, eating around 6:30.

Please bring some food item to share with others, beverages will be supplied.  Also, please bring lawn chairs for yourself and guests

This is for all guys, even if you haven't been able to be part of the Dunamis series. Also, bring you sons, "adopted" sons, and any friends that would like to come.

If the weather is truly bad, we'll shift to the Super Star East Buffet next to Sam's Club on Route 1 Lawrenceville.

THANK YOU to those who were able to help this past Saturday. Because of your generous gift of time and energy, we accomplished the immediate tasks that needed to be done.

Truth From God's Word
The Apostle Paul writes, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-- his good, pleasing and perfect will."  Romans 12:1-2.
