"Resigning
and
Re-Signing"

It was with a sad heart that I announced my resignation on Sunday as the Pastor of Grace Community Church of the Nazarene.  This will take effect on August 23, 2015

What a great honor and privilege is has been to serve the Lord and His people during these years.
God's presence and power has been manifested in so many wonderful ways.

There is only one reason why I am stepping aside--God has instructed me to do so. After weeks and months of agonizing prayer and searching, I have no doubt it is God's will.

Fulfilling God's will and doing what is best for His Church has been my focus since the time I began as Pastor here in 1999.
I firmly believe that He is leading and when He directs change, it because He is opening the door to new opportunities and possibilities.
As we all walk in obedience to His will, God will indeed accomplish great things!

When professional athletes enter a new contract with their team, they re-sign to whatever lies ahead.
While I am resigning from Pastor of GCCN,
let us all re-sign to the new thing God seeks to do in our lives and His Church!

"Family, accountability, growth together, discipleship."  These are all words that are important to the life of Christian community.

But what about "judging"?  That one seems so easily to cause offense--and at times to create conflict in the lives of people and the community.  Have you ever studied what the Bible says upon this important topic and applied it to your life personally?  This Sunday, we return to our study of Paul's Epistle to the Romans 2:1-5 where Paul directly addresses this issue. Please read the passage in advance and pray for God's clear direction and instruction to each one of us.
District Assembly Begins
This Sunday afternoon, the Philadelphia District Church of the Nazarene 2015 Assembly will begin at the Lancaster Eden Resort in Lancaster, PA.

The Sunday School/Discipleship Ministry  and Youth conventioins will take place in the Ballroom of the Hotel from 4-6 pm on Sunday. The District Assembly begins at 6:00 pm on Sunday and reconvenes on Monday morning at 8:30 am.

The ordination service will take place on Monday evening at 7:00 pm and our own Pastor Matt will be given his first District License.

The Missionary Convention will take place from 9am to 4:30pm on Tuesday April 28th and the speaker will be Rob North from Africa Nazarene University

Please pray for these important days that God's Holy Spirit will be present, direct and infuse all that takes place and that the churches of this region will be empowered for great ministry!
RockSolid Men Next Tuesday

We will be seeing great work that God has done in Hemet, CA on Tuesday, April 14 at 7:00 pm.  Pray that God will do it here!

Men, we are coming to the final stretch of this series on "Dunamis: God's Power in Action!"  May these last sessions be a great blessing and impetus in your life to see God's power displayed!

#yoGo Teen News
What a Wednesday it is! Praise God for what He's doing in the lives of our teens! Tonight, we continue our series on Prayer. We are using the Lord's prayer as our outline with our new series simply called (pray).

May God bless you right where you are!
Times of Prayer
As Grace Community Church goes into days of leadership transition, please increase your prayer for the Church and its leadership.  How important that there is wisdom and God's will among all that happens over these coming months!  We will be announcing additional times of prayer as we proceed.  You are invited to join in prayer in Pastor Wes' office on Wednesday evenings between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.
Upcoming Building Repairs
Unfortunately, there are serveral repairs needed on the church property, including two major building issues to address over the coming months.  The most recent fire inspection is calling for us to replace all of the hard-wired smoke detectors in the church building. The second issue is that we have water leaking into the gas lines that supply the five furnaces. That will likely require that all of the underground gas lines need to be replaced.  Please pray that we will be able to accomplish these necessary repairs in an effective and cost-efficient way.
