"Holy Week"

The days from Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday constitute the most important week in human history.

This week is so important to Christ's earthly life and work that almost 40 percent of the four written Gospels are devoted to what took place during that time.   The events are clearly depicted, the teaching and experiences of Jesus are clearly given.

Holy Week is central not only to Christian faith and practice, but to the history and future of the whole world.

When Christ willingly went to the cross for our sin, He gave the greatest incarnation of love and mercy the world has ever known.

And through that, Christ offers the greatest invitation ever given.  An invitation that makes the eternal difference for every person

The centurion who supervised crucifixions that day had his heart changed: "Truly, this was the Son of God!"
Like the repentant thief on the cross, he recognized Jesus as the Christ, the Promised One of God.

Let those who would have eyes to see, see!
Good Friday and Easter Sunday at GCCN
There will be a GCCN service of remembrance of Christ's suffering and death on Friday, April 3rd at 7:30 pm.  Scripture and music focused on the great price that He paid for our salvation.

On Resurrection/Easter Sunday there will be a great service of worship and praise to our risen Lord who has vanquished sin and death!  We celebrate together the greatest love ever--God's love!

Prior to the worship service, there will be a church breakfast at 9:30.  Each family is encouraged to bring a breakfast dish to share with others.  Beverages will be provided.

This is a perfect week to read Luke, chapters 19-24, perhaps one chapter per day.  These passages give wonderful overview of Holy Week events as well as important teachings that Christ gave to his disciples and to each one of us.

40 Days of Prayer
These are very important days in our country and world.  The spirit of the antichrist is affecting the hearts and minds of many--we are truly in days of apostasy and error in many ways.  God still changes things in response to the prayers of His people.  Please take time daily to pray for people of our region and for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  God is calling His people to prayer! Please pray for the salvation of souls and the sanctification and transformation of lives for Jesus Christ and eternity.
Easter Offering for World Missions
The theme for our Easter Offering this year is: "Every Tongue Confess" from Philippians 2:10-11: "At the name of Jesus, every knee will bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." We received the ultimate gift when God sent His Son to die for our sin. The funds that we raise in the offering go to support mission work around the world. Our GCCN goal for the Easter Offering is $1,500.00.  Please give generously for this vital ministry.
Ladies of Grace

Calling all Ladies! The next monthly get-together will take place on Saturday, April 18th at 5PM. Details will be forthcoming. Be sure to SAVE THE DATE!!!

Upcoming Building Repairs
Unfortunately, there are two major building issues to address over the coming months.  The most recent fire inspection is calling for us to replace all of the hard-wired smoke detectors in the church building. The second issue is that we have water leaking into the gas lines that supply the five furnaces. That will likely require that all of the underground gas lines need to be replaced.  Please pray that we will be able to accomplish these necessary repairs in an effective and cost-efficient way.

Truth From God's Word
All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.     ----John 6:37-39
