"Ransom Paid!"

Much of the news in the past week has been about the exchange of a soldier, Bowe Bergdahl, for 5 Guatanamo Taliban terrorists.  Was it the right thing to do?  Was it worth it?  Was the price too high?

More amazing is that the Almighty God would come in human form and die to pay the price of my sin, your sin!
Talk about an inequitable trade!
Was it worth it? Was the price too high?

"For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect."
--1 Peter 1:18-19

By far, the highest price ever paid for a captive!
This Sunday: Father's Day
Praise God for great and godly fathers!  Praise God for the all men who are seeking and fulfilling the vital roles and responsibilities that are entrusted to them!  This Sunday, Pastor Wes will be leading us in a study from the Letter of James chapter 4 into important insights about what brings the most success and significance for men as husbands and fathers: "Living Life to It's Fullest!"
RockSolid Men's BBQ next Tuesday
RockSolid Men's BBQ will be at Pastor Wes & Sarah's home on Tuesday evening, June 17th. Bring some food to share.  Also, bring a lawn chair if possible.  All men and boys are invited!
Vacation Bible School: "Weird Animals"

 It's that time again! Vacation Bible School. This year, we are learning about some cool animals and God's God's One-of-a-kind love for us! Pre-registration is now live so click here!!! Contact Marly Paul if you would like to volunteer at Weird Animals VBS. We get wild July 14-18 and a celebration on Sunday, July 20th!

NOTE: We do need 4-5 men for an hour or so this Saturday to help in setting up the VBS signs on church property.  If you are able to help, please send an email to Pastor Wes for scheduling.

Kids Camp is coming! Talk to Pastor Matt about sending your kids (1-6th grade completed) to camp!!!

Young Adults Retreat
On June 12-15, the Young Adults of the Eastern Field (as far north as Maine to as far south of VA and more!) will join in worship at Montrose Bible Camp for the Annual Young Adults retreat! 
 
We leave tomorrow and know that we will be filled with the Holy Spirit!

What is Kaleo? Kaleo is one of the New Testament Greek words for calling. It means: "to call, to invite, to share, to name, to be selected." The Kaleo life is the life lived in total response to God's Call. What level of Kaleo are you today?
