"Let it Go"
When I worked for Front Step Ministries, I helped a newly forming worship team. At the end of the summer, I had to start backing off with the instructions and musical direction.

I sat next to senior and asked him if I should step in and intervene when then the team messed up. He said no. Let them go. Let her handle the practice. Now I knew that this day was coming, so I shouldn't be that surprized. However, letting them go was kinda hard for me.

When you think about it, letting go of some things is very hard. What about the things in your life? Isn't that very hard at times? Jesus said in Matthew 11: 28-30:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

To me that means giving up all of the sin, all of our baggage, faults, shortcomings, pain (from life or from others), strife and leave it with God. The keyword in that sentence is leave.

He wants to take away all of our stuff and us to get His light burden! God wants us to be free from our sin and sorrow and past stuff.

So if today you feel like you can't let go or that you want to "reel back" stuff. Remember that God will give you rest today. All you have to do is let go.

#yoGo Teen News Now!
Woah! It's Wednesday! We pray that everyone is having a blessed one. Here's what's happening in the lives of our teens this week.

This week, we continue the series Beneath the Song. We're going to take a look at some popular Christian contemporary songs and find the meaning beneath the songs that they have written. Last week, we looked at the song Hello, My Name Is, by Matthew West. This week, we are going to check out By Your Side by Tenth Avenue North.

We're going to be very busy soon! In March, our teens will be participating in the Festival of Life competition at Eastern Nazarene College! More details to come in the upcoming weeks.

Have a blessed Wednesday!
Mission 2014 Offering
Would you be one of those who step out in faith and pledge $2.00 per day or $730 for the year to support our Youth Ministry?  This Offering is the backbone of support for our Children and Youth Ministries. In 2013 this Offering raised over $10,000.  The Church Board has set a challenging yet doable goal of $18,000 for 2014.

We will reach that goal if there are 25 people willing to give $2.00 per day for 2014 in addition to tithes.  Please consider what you could do this year and drop your pledge form into the offering plate when you are able to.  Please also always mark your offering for this ministry "Mission 2014 Offering."

Men's Group Next Tuesday
Rock Solid
Next Tuesday at 7:00 pm we will be addressing the topic: "Top 10 Ingredients for a Healthy Family."  Good stuff! You will be glad you attended.  If you get a chance to swing by and help Earl move wood, I know he would appreciate it!
Additional Office Assistance Needed
We will be needing some additional assistance in the near future in relation to bulletin preparation and data entry and financial management.  If you are able to devote an hour or two per week in assisting with these vital needs, that would be a greatly appreciated! Please speak with Pastor Wes.
