From Pastor Wes
"God's Unspeakable Gift"
"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." --John 1:14
This one verse sums up the most profound, unfathomable and yet actual act of love and grace in all of history.
Some people struggle with the miracles of the Bible. They think that if it doesn't fit the laws of nature, then it likely didn't happen. They forget Who established the "laws" of nature.
For example, some people doubt the parting of the Red Sea. But how hard is that for the God Who created the Red and every other sea?
Some people struggle with the possibility of the virgin birth. But how hard is that compared with creating everything from nothing?
Personally, I'm not much challenged by the miracles. Once you've created a universe from nothing, all else is relatively simple. But what does challenge my mind and heart is that the Supreme Almighty God loved His creation so much that He would come to be with us, and to die because of us and for us!
Christmas is the story of unspeakable, unfathomable love! Thanks be to God!

December 15, Third Sunday of Advent
"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." --Luke 1:38
Jesus, coming into this world, changes everything! Certainly Mary and Joseph's lives were greatly changed, but everyone's life now has the reference point of Jesus Christ whether they are aware of it or not. This Sunday, Pastor Wes will continue with the sermon series is entitled: "This Changes Everything!" and how every person is impacted by the Incarnation of Jesus Christ.

Woodcutting for our Seniors
Men, if you are able, come out on Saturday morning at 9 am for a time of wood cutting and moving for Earl and Miriam Griffis. They are dependent on wood to help keep their home warm for the winter. Although Earl is almost 90 years old, he continues to do what he can cutting and moving the wood daily. But with Miriam's recent surgery, he is running behind on what they need for this winter. This can be a good time of fellowship and helping with a specific need. Dress warm! Bring a chainsaw if you have one. For the address, click here and request it.

From God's Word:
"God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you." Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." --Luke 1:25-33
