"Mike & Ginny"
 

It was 8 years ago that Mike & Ginny arrived in our area from South Carolina.  Mike had been hired to oversee a large materials plant.  

 

From the beginning, Mike and Ginny "jumped in"  with the Grace Community Church in many ways:

 

Choir

Praise Team

Vacation Bible School

Dinner Preparation

Hospitality

Kitchen Clean-up

Usher

Offering Counter

Chauffeur...

....and hundreds of hours and tons of love and compassion invested into youth! 

 

During these years there have been tears of sorrow, tears and rejoicing and much prayer.  Early in their time here, Mike and Ginny's infant grandaughter had a medical condition that seriously jeapordized her life.  Even the doctors at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia did not think her chances of survival were very good.  Complex surgery was undertaken and today Mary Lou is a healthy 8-year old. 

 
Then the day we were shocked to hear about Ginny's heart attack--but again, God has answered prayer wonderfully. 
 
Thank you so much, Mike and Ginny for all the blessing you have brought and left here! 
May God richly bless you in the new paths!

Matthew Manual
As we join together to worship the Lord together this Sunday, Pastor Wes will lead us in the third part of the sermon series, "As You Go, Make Disciples."   
This series is based upon the "My Hope America" materials from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.  As we go through this series and study the material at home, we will all be better equipped to share our faith with our friends and family.  Our attention to this can and will make eternal differences for those we care about.  Don't forget to bring your Matthew Manual this Sunday 
Baptism Celebration!
Praise God for the wonderful Spirit of the Lord in the Worship Service this past Sunday.  Eleven members of the GCCN congregation testified to their faith in Jesus Christ through baptism. As we honor the Lord in our lives, He will honor us!

Join us on Sunday for Youth Group in 'da AM We are continuing our discussion in the book of Judges, AKA: the Israelites are so stupid! Wanna know what that means? Join us at 9:30am on Sunday morning to laugh and learn about the Word of God.
 
Keep our quizzers in prayer! GCCN is hosting the Philly District's  Second Teen Bible Quiz Meet of the year. We will be quizzing on Romans chapters 1-6!

Our Youth Worship/Drama Team will meet on Sunday night at 6:30p to prepare for Youth Services and Festival of Life.

District Festival of Life is coming up in November! Are you a singer, dancer, actor? Maybe you like to write or draw? How about playing volleyball or basketball. Do you really like math and science? Contact Pastor Matt at matthew.a.brown615@gmail.com for more information.

Children's Ministry, Shaping the Future!  
Praise God for the wonderful children who are part of GCCN's ministry! Praise God for the wonderful response for volunteers to assist with the Children's Ministry!  Thanks to your response, we are taking some very vital steps forward. 
 
This Sunday, the new Children's Ministry Leadership Team will have their first meeting for vision and planning at 5:00 pm in the library.

Children's Church Workers Training Sunday
Please, all Children's Church workers attend the training this Sunday during the regular Children's Church time.  This will be the beginning of the new format, rotation and worker schedule.  Those who should be involved should be: Sarah and Amanda, Pastor Matt & Cody, Irene and Gabby, Josh and Janelle.  If you are not able to be part of the training this Sunday, please let Sarah know to arrange another opportunity.  Much thanks for your participation in this vital ministry!
