"HOME"
Another saint went home this week.
Just two weeks ago today, Evelyn was walking, talking, hosting guests and carrying on the normal things of life.
But after contending with cancer for four years and facing life and future with a resolute and sweet spirit, she departed this earth for her heavenly home on Saturday.
It seems strange to speak of a place we've never been as "home." We sing about about it, "This world is not my home, I'm justa passing thru..."
We read about it. For example, the Apostle says "we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord." (2 Cor 5:8)
Home.
The place of peace. The refuge.
People we know and love best.
Home.
The place where we are truly ourselves. Contentment.
Joy.
A few brief hours before Evelyn went home, I had the privilege of reading to her a series of passages from the Revelation of John.
"I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
(Revelation 21:3-4)
Home.
In the Presence of God the Father God,
Jesus Christ
the Holy Spirit
and all the redeemed.
Home.

Evelyn Mazur
 Evelyn Mae Mazur, 83, of East Windsor, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at her home lovingly surrounded by her children, Ruth Ann, Gloria and Michael.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 12:30 p.m., at the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morris Ave., Hightstown, NJ. The service will be officiated by the Rev. R. Wesley Tink, assisted by the Rev. Paul J. Rowley and the Rev. Robert S. Turton III. Interment will follow in Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ. There will be a luncheon for all family and friends at Grace Community Church following interment. Memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn's memory to the Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, 100 Bull Run Rd., Pennington, NJ 08534, or the Gospel Mission Corps, PO Box 175, Hightstown, NJ 08520.
Evelyn's favorite Bible verse was: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:26). Praise God for the salvation & eternal life that He gives. Praise God for Evelyn's life!

"Shaping the Future" Next Steps:
Thanks to the wonderful participation at the "Shaping the Future" conference, vision and ministry is moving forward!
Three immediate needs and prayer needs:
1.) That someone with a heart and passion for children would volunteer to help in organizing a prayer ministry specifically related to children and children's ministry.
2.) That someone with a heart and passion for for children would volunteer to become the "Children's Ministry Director" and assist in leadership and working with the Pastors and current workers to advance children's ministry forward.
3.) That at least 3-4 people with a heart and passion for children's ministry would volunteer to participate in ongoing development of children's ministry--teachers, assistants and supporting roles.
The Lord is going to accomplish wonderful things in this area!

It's another Wednesday and God is still real!

Our Quizzing season is going to start this August. If you would like to take part, contact Pastor Matt by email here! The teens will be studying Romans and James!
Would you still like to go to summer camp? The late registration fee is coming up. Contact Pastor Matt for more information!
Would your kids grade K-6 like to take part in Bible quizzing? Email Pastor Matt as well. We would love to restart our Children's Bible Quizzing ministry. This year, the Children's Quizzing book is Genesis. Let's see those kids study and shine!
There is no youth group this week. Our youth group is on a summer break. We will resume August 21st with a trip to Six Flags!

| Praise God, Prayer Being Answered!
There has been a wonderful response throughout the congregation the past two Sundays with tithes and offerings! We believe that the $8500.00 shortfall that the Church experienced at the half-way point of 2013 is going to be eliminated entirely as we are all faithful and obedient to God in this matter. Your gift makes a great difference to the ministry through Grace Community Church and God is honored!
