"Tornado"

"On Monday evening, kids screamed for their parents and parents hollered their children's names, walking and searching in panic in a parking lot near Briarwood Elementary.

"Caleb! Caleb!" one woman could be heard screaming, as another woman, her face bloody, walked zombie-like through the crowd, holding a young boy's hand.

Adults and children zigzagged past each other. One man went to a little boy standing alone, whose face was just then cracking into a full-out cry. The man put his arm around the child and they both looked out into the chaotic parking lot, apparently searching for the boy's parents.

One mother who spotted her son sitting with his teacher on a curb gently grabbed the boy's hands and stood him up and then leaned her whole body over him, hugging him. She cried and then laughed and cupped his face.

"He was so brave!" the teacher said.

The mother then embraced the teacher. "Thank you," she wept, "thank you."

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging....

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress."

--Psalm 46

Pentecost Sunday Follow-Up
Pentecost2013
On Pentecost Sunday, the congregation of Grace Community Church said "I will!" to a challenge to pray. For the next two weeks, will you pray daily for the youth of the Mercer-Bucks area?  Pray that God will bring the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that He has promised.  Pray that the logjams of resistance to Him will be broken and that many find spiritual healing in Jesus Christ.  God still answers prayer! He can and will bring the blessings that we truly need.  Pray, knowing that God will indeed answer!
Special Speaker this Sunday  AmericanFlag
Our speaker this Sunday is someone who has been deeply involved in issues that are at the forefront of social change in our nation  As a former gay activist, Greg Quinlan promoted the homosexual agenda in Washington DC and his home state of Ohio for over 10 years. As a Registered Nurse, Greg saw over 100 of his friends and acquaintances lose their lives to AIDS.

However, in 1993 Greg departed from homosexuality and has since shared his compelling testimony on the 700 Club, TBN, countless radio programs and he has been quoted in USA Today, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Greg has also defended marriage as "the union of one man and one woman" in over 18 states.  Greg is the President of "Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays" (PFOX.com).  Please pray for God's will and word will touch the hearts of many as he ministers God's hope and healing.
My Hope America with Billy Graham
"My Hope America with Billy Graham" is a nationwide effort to reach people across the United States with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Following a simple biblical model, "My Hope America with Billy Graham" combines the impact of video programs with the power of personal relationships.

Are there family and friends that you know and love, but you also know if they were to die today that they would not make it to heaven? Do you believe there is anything you can do that may make an eternal difference in that person's life?

Grace Community Church will be holding 2 preparation meetings for this ministry initiative on Tuesday, May 28 at 1:30 pm and 5:30. Come out and see what it is about!  No cost to you, register here.
Food will be served at the 5:30 session for those who are coming straight from work.
