From Pastor Wes
Some things we pray for, for a day. Other things we pray for a week, perhaps a month or more. Then there are some matters we pray for continuously, without end True revival we pray for continuously.
At District Assembly this week, our District Superintendent, Newell Smith, shared his personal memories of a great revival that broke out at Asbury Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky on February 3, 1970.
A regularly- scheduled chapel service continued non-stop for a week with prayer, confession, repentance and many life transformations!
People who had been in conflict, apologized, reconciled and restored relationships.
As students and others went to other churches and campuses, those too would be impacted with the presence and power of the Holy Spirit and revival would break out there as well! During these weeks and months, God called many into service and ministry who continue to bring God's Word to America and around the world.
The Asbury Seminary President, Dr. Dennis Kinlaw said:
"Give me one divine moment when God acts, and that moment is far superior to all other moments throughout history!"
How very true!
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we have our daily devotions, duties and decisions, but let us be diligently praying and seeking the God-empowered revival that He alone can bring. Let us not lose sight that what God has done in other times and places, He can do here! He has promised us a powerful revival in this Mercer-Bucks area as we seek, obey and fulfill His will.
We never stop praying:
"Lord, give us one divine moment!"

"God's Call to Holiness!"
Jesus said: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." --John 13:34
The evidence of true Christian life is the love that we have for others. Christian community is the definitive apologetic--the mark of whether Christ and the Holy Spirit is present. This Sunday, Pastor Wes will lead us in a biblical exploration of what this love in action is, what it looks like, what it means. Please pray that God will direct the hearts of all and that we have courage and faithfulness to accept and apply God's lessons to our lives. |

Thank You!
To all who shuttled students, hosted, fed and prayed for the A Cappella Choir service on Friday, Thank you! The choir was very, very pleased to be with us and they enjoyed all of our company, hospitality, attentiveness and food! God bless you and we pray that we can do more events like that in the future!

Jon Lambert and Gennie Neuman Reception
Jon and Gennie are getting married! They will be married on June 1 in Minnesota. GCCN will host a reception for them following the Morning Worship Service on April 27. Please bring a card and gift as able. If you would like to make an online gift to Jon and Gennie, you can go here to to see how they are registered and what their specific needs are. Jon has been a member of our congregation for almost 4 years and currently serves as Church Board Member as well as leading the young adult ministry. Gennie has completed her Master's degree at Rutgers and is currently involved scenic design. |
Mother's Day Happenings On Mother's Day, May 12th, after an uplifting and blessed worship time together, there will be three special additions:
1.) There will be a gift for every lady in attendance
2.) We will be taking a GCCN full-church group photograph of everyone in attendance. Remember seeing those pictures from days gone past when the whole church gathered for one photograph? Beginning this Mother's Day, we're starting an annual tradition of a yearly GCCN whole-Church photograph. This will help all of us to get to know one another. Don't miss being part of the GCCN 2013 Church picture!
3.) There will be a Mother's Day church dinner provided by Roger and Yvonne! This will immediately follow the Church photo. All are welcome! Come and enjoy, stay and fellowship! |
Grace Card Front At District Assembly this week, we learned that of all the people in church, only 2% came because of advertising. Six percent came because a church staff person invited them. And another 6% came because of a special outreach service or event. In contrast to that, the remaining 86% came because they were invited by a friend or family member who attended that church! YOU are the best advertising! |
Grace Card Back Because YOU are the best advertising, we've had these attractive "Grace Cards" made up for you to carry with you. Anytime you have a conversation and your faith or Church comes up in the discussion, you can just hand your friend a copy of this card and it gives them much information about where we are, who we are and where we are located. Not only does the back side have a map and directions, it also has a QR code that will take those who have smart phones immediately to the Grace Community website. We have plenty of these cards. Take as many as you want as often as you need. Your action may change a life forever! Pray that God will work through you! |

Final Good News
" Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your unfailing love, O LORD, and grant us your salvation. I will listen to what God the LORD will say; he promises peace to his people, his saints-- but let them not return to folly. Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that his glory may dwell in our lan ---Psalm 85:6-9
