From Pastor Wes
"The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 4:7)
The Apostle Paul, who wrote these words, had every reason to live in a state of constant turmoil and agitation.
Not only did he go through much hardship, but again and again there were people who were seeking to persecute him and put him to death. One time he even had to be lowered at night outside the city wall to escape those who were trying to kill him. Yet Paul is able to teach us that God will give us peace in the midst of terrible circumstances that baffles our understanding. Peace that transcends the circumstances.
True and inexpressible peace comes for those know God and trust in Him alone. In Christ we do not hide from reality, but we face reality with the truth that God will indeed work all things together for good for those who love Him and live according to His will.
How does this happen?
God provides all that we need.
Do we accept that?
Do we know that He always has our best in His mind?
Do we know He can bring good from evil, beauty from ashes?
Do we know that with God ALL things are possible?
As we learn and accept these truths, God's peace will reside in our lives.
May Jesus Christ be Praised!

Christ's Return & God's Call to Holiness!
This Sunday, Pastor Wes will lead us in a biblical overview of Christ's Second Coming and what God calls every Christian to know and to do. While there are many perspectives on the details of how and when Christ will return, God gives us clear and indisputable teaching on how we are to be ready.
To aid in preparing for this teaching, please take a few minutes and read 1 Thessalonians chapters 4 and 5. Pray that God will accomplish His will throughout His Church. |

Kids and Teen News
Good Wednesday morning!!! I hope that all is well!
Today, we are watching a movie called To Save a Life. It's a powerful movie in where a teen discovers that life isn't worth living without Jesus Christ. The main character goes on a major life journey from partying to praising God. This is a rated PG-13 movie because it deals with a number of topics that range from suicide, teen drinking, sex, self-mutilation and bullying. We urge all of the parents to take a look at the trailer of this movie and have a conversation with your children. If you can, we invite you and you child to watch this movie with us! We will be starting a little earlier today, 6:30pm, so we can watch the movie in its entirety and be able to talk about the film. Watch the trailer by clicking here. Email Pastor Matt if you have any questions about To Save A Life.
On Friday, April 26, (there was a typo in the bulletin last week) the Mercer County Youth Pastors are putting together a worship night for all teens from all denominations! Come and worship with us! More details are coming in the next few days. Contact Pastor Matt for more information.

Concert at Grace Community Church
On Friday, April 19th at 6:30 pm, we are delighted to be hosting the full Eastern Nazarene College A Capella Choir as they present a concert of classical and modern worship songs!
ENC's A Cappella Choir and Chamber Singers tour regularly in the New England and Mid-Atlantic states. In addition to performing internationally, the choirs have performed at New York City's Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and at Boston's historic Jordan Hall at New England Conservatory. Be sure to reserve this date and plan now to invite friends and family that would enjoy this concert. Follow this link to see more about the ministry of the choir.
Thank you to those who have volunteered to host choir members. We have a total of 47 to host and are still in urgent need for homes to host some of these young people. Please speak to Pastor Matt if you could help on this.
