"Paul's Evangelism"
The Apostle Paul gives us many powerful insights into reaching people for Jesus Christ.
He carefully planned his trips to spread the Gospel but he was always open to the interruptions and opportunities that arose.
He was an initiator--he would start a church and then leave it in the hands of others as he pressed forward to start another.
He would invest himself--his time and energy--into others like Timothy who shared his vision and passion.
He sought never to be burdensome but worked alongside others as a tent- maker to support his ministry.
Paul also began with the concerns of the people he was reaching as the starting place for his evangelism We see Athens that he began with their gods to lead them to the true God.
He states it this way: "To the Jews, I became a Jew to win the Jews..." (see more below right).
Paul shows us that we will be effective at leading other to Jesus Christ as we listen and learn their concerns, their personality, their culture and heritage.
Let us be good listeners and great evangelists!

Sunday, January 20, 2013
As disciples of Jesus Christ, each day we sense His loving invitation to change, to grow, to move forward with the goal of Christlikeness firmly in view. Last Sunday we looked at three key concepts which are at the heart of successful life and Christian living: Truth, Life and Love. This coming Sunday Lord willing, Pastor Wes will lead us in a biblical study of Philippians 3:12-15 entitled "A Vision Forward" What does God have in your future and His will as your follow Him?

"Mission 2013" Offering Pledge
During 2012 at Grace Community Church we began a weekly offering plan that supports our local and global missions. Praise God, in 2012 there been a very positive response to this and it has made a great difference in the fulfillment of our mission!
The plan is quite simple: GCCN can fulfill all the ministry God has for us in 2013 if every member of the congregation is tithing on their income and we are also able to have 25 people who would give $2.00 per day in offerings. That's $14/week, $60/month or $730 per year. he $2.00 per day offering is called "Mission 2013" offering and would greatly help to underwrite our commitment to missions around the world as well as fund our Children's and Youth Ministry position. Please pray about what you could do for this vital ministry. As of this date, we have 7 of the 25 needed to fully fund these ministries.

Final Good News
"To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some."
--1 Corinthians 9:20-22
