"Got Your Flu Shot? "

Ugh!

Flu season again.

The Center for Disease Control map shows that most US states are experiencing "widespread" flu virus at this time.   We're advised to follow the precautions: wash hands, avoid those who are sick, get a flu shot.

One of the worst pandemics was in 1918 when almost one out of three people around the globe was sickened by the virus.  No predictions for that this time.  The flu shots go a long way in averting that kind of impact--let's hope and pray they continue to!

Imagine if there was a vaccine that immunized you against death.

Get your shot,

live forever!

Think how people would line up at that doctor's office!

Jesus said, "Whoever lives and believes in me will never die."

(John 11:26)

Almost too good to be true---

except it's true!

Make sure you're up-to-date with this amazing spiritual sickness antidote!

And share this

death-defying,

life-giving,

needle-free,

 never-failing,

life-time guarantee

cure with your friends this week.

They'll love the side effects!

This Sunday

As disciples of Jesus Christ, each day we sense His loving invitation to change, to grow, to move forward with the goal of Christlikeness firmly in view.  How patient He is with us along the path!  In the sermon this Sunday, Pastor Wes will lead us in a biblical study of three key concepts which are at the heart of successful life and Christian living. These three are under great attack in the world around us.  But as we apply them to our lives, God does amazing things to transform us as well as the lives and environment around us.  Expect some food....for thought and soul!

New Church Logo!

Grace Community Church of the Nazarene is developing a new logo that represents our focus, mission, spirit and ministry. There are two renditions for the congregation to consider, pray about and then decide. Just go to the GCCN website logo page and follow the instructions to see these.  These will also be posted at Church this coming Sunday.

The final selection will be used for publicity and advertising as we connect with the communities around us.  This will aid us in gaining name recognition with those around us for the mission God has called us to!

On Sunday, January 20, 2013 you will have the opportunity to help decide the final selection.  Everyone in attendance on that Sunday will be invited to vote and we'll announce the result immediately.  If there is a significant snow or other impediment that day, this vote will take place the following Sunday.

"2012 Paid in Full" Goal

Praise God there has been wonderful response and commitment for bringing the Church finances up-to-date as we get ready to close the books on 2012!   We have faith that we will reach the goal of having all of our bills and ministry budgets paid in full for 2012! The end is in sight!  God will bless such sacrifice and faithfulness!  Thank you!!

"Mission 2013" Offering Pledge

During 2012 at Grace Community Church we began a weekly offering plan that supports our local and global missions.  Praise God, in 2012 there been a very positive response to this and it has made a great difference in the fulfillment of our mission!

The plan is quite simple: GCCN can fulfill all the ministry God has for us in 2013 if every member of the congregation is tithing on their income and we are also able to have 25 people who would give $2.00 per day in offerings. That's $14/week, $60/month or $730 per year. he $2.00 per day offering is called "Mission 2013" offering and would greatly help to underwrite our commitment to missions around the world as well as fund our Children's and Youth Ministry position.   Please pray about what you could do for this vital ministry.

Final Good News
"Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life."
