FREE Weekend Parking Offered Through New Year's Day

Just as in previous years, free parking Downtown (meters and decks) is offered every weekend between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day from Saturday at 8:00 AM through Monday at 6:00 AM.

Enjoy a behind-the-scenes peek inside this month's inspiring office in Frederick - Someone With. The company began as an online marketplace for breast cancer products, and has expanded its corporate vision of "Innovation for Life" to include membership based financial services for those suffering from a chronic condition.

The company's mission has inspired its office design. Pink hues, the traditional awareness color for breast cancer, is infused into aspects of the office's design.

DED Promotes Frederick at SMART Proc & Entrepreneur Expo
 
Marketing The City of Frederick as a location where businesses can thrive is a key objective for the Department of Economic Development (DED).  

Each year, DED attends and exhibits at conferences and trade shows to reach targeted audiences, including vital industry sectors, elected officials, and partner organizations. Most recently, DED exhibited at SMART Proc and the Maryland Entrepreneur Expo.

Downtown Hotel and Conference Center Project Advances to Next Steps in the Process

On Thursday, December 3, 2015, The City of Frederick's Mayor and Board of Aldermen approved two Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) regarding the Downtown Frederick Hotel and Conference Center Project (the Project) at public hearing. 
 
For the developer, an approved MOU means they can begin the process of developing plans and gaining approvals so the Project is shovel-ready.

"Approval of the MOUs is the next step in moving this project forward by bringing together the best of both the public and private worlds," said Mayor Randy McClement.
