I am reading a fantastic book, Wishes Fulfilled by Wayne Dyer. It is one of those books that you can't rush through because there is so much introspection and opportunity to better understand the powerful gift of the imagination. It speaks about understanding the power you have to create the life that you want, but to create it means to take responsibility for the clay you select to sculpt your life experience. It is not just wish it and it will come, but a thoughtful contemplation of purpose from the perspective of contribution and not what you can get.  

In the hustle of day to day life, we can lose sight of the fact that we need joy, creativity and possibility in our lives. There are too many people going home in tears at the end of the day, feeling empty and losing sight of their true purpose. We spend so much time being busy that we equate busyness with success, yet the feeling from it feels far from successful. It is success by someone else's standards, not yours.  This state does not create a space for imagination, creativity, invention or reinvention. The good news is it does not have to be that way!  Oh, no.

There is the aha moment when you realize that you can choose what you will allow to shape the beautiful piece of art called you. It is yours to decide what you will believe about you regardless of what others may say and that you can use your imagination to create your future reality. The bounty of the soul is waiting to be picked.

I love this time of the year because it is a trigger to slow down and take in what's important and re-evaluate direction. Stop for a moment and pay attention to what we are doing to ourselves and when necessary, course correct.   Take stock of who and what we have let into this sacred space.  It is the time to ask what our soul needs instead of our material needs. There is a crop only you can pick in field inside of you in a heart that is only yours. The beautiful thing about harvesting the bounty of the soul is that you don't have to go far. Sit quietly, put your hand to your heart and it will speak to you telling you how to find it. It knows what you need, it is ready to be picked and the bounty will be beautiful.
