YOUTH LEADERS APPLICATIONS DUE MAY 11
The Leadership Winter Park Youth Leaders program is Central Florida's premier leadership program for students entering their sophomore, junior or senior year in high school. The program is designed to help students develop new leadership skills and expose them to opportunities for leadership within our community.
Two sessions are available each summer, one in June and a second in July. Session topics include team building, arts and culture in Winter Park, media and communications, law and government and a day for career exploration and mentoring.

Youth Leaders Class XVI
Rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors can now apply online to be part of Youth Leaders Class XVI! The application now includes leadership in action essay prompts and a resume submission. Accepted students will have an opportunity to build on their resume throughout the one-week program and on the last day will be presented with revisions, feedback and advice to use for college and job applications. Spread the word! Application deadline is May 11, 2016.
Leadership Winter Park Class XXVII
Leadership Winter Park is a program of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce that identifies and promotes potential leaders from the business community who desire to become more involved in making a difference in Winter Park. The program is a community-awareness, leadership preparation effort and offers a behind the scenes look at and study of the critical issues and challenges facing Winter Park. Denning Drive Public Meeting May 12; 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Rachel D. Murrah Civic Center, 1050 W. Morse Blvd., Winter Park, FL 32789 The City of Winter Park, with assistance from GAI Consultants, Inc., will hold two public involvement meetings to discuss Denning Drive, its current conditions, and future possibilities. The first meeting, will be in a workshop format and will involve a "walking audit" of Denning Drive giving attendees the opportunity to experience Denning from a walker's point of view, including bike activity along the corridor as well as bus and vehicular movements along the road. After the walking tour, the participants will discuss the corridor's capacity to accommodate all of these modes of transportation. Special attention will be given to the relationship between residential properties and businesses along the corridor.
