CHAMBER ENDORSES LIBRARY AND EVENTS CENTER
Vote for Library
The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors has passed a resolution in support of a new library and events center. In the resolution, the organization acknowledges the significant increase in services provided by the Winter Park Public Library over the last decade, the thorough research and study conducted by the City of Winter Park Library Task Force and the need for new facilities which will better serve its members and the greater community. A bond referendum for a new library and events center is currently facing Winter Park voters with municipal elections to be held on March 15, 2016. A copy of the referendum language can be found at cityofwinterpark.org. Additional information on the project is available at wppl.org.

Early Voting is now available at the Winter Park Public Library daily through March 13 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Details on early voting and additional locations is available from the Orange County Supervisor of Elections.

The Park Avenue Merchants Association consists of Central Business District merchants and non-retail members committed to the betterment of the Park Avenue area.

A meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 3, at 9:00 a.m. at the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce to discuss a new direction for PAFW16. Work Well Winter Park is a movement spearheaded by the Chamber to improve the health and well-being of the workforce in our community.

2nd Annual Bike to Work Day, Wednesday March 9th
Bike to Work Day is a great way to foster teamwork, boost employee morale, and improve health.  Everyone is invited to bike to work; then in the afternoon join more than 100 riders for a 45-minute group ride through beautiful Winter Park. Afterwards, join up for a Happy, Healthy Social at Park Social on Park Avenue. 

Businesses can also register as a team for the Bike Friendly Company Challenge to win a prize package including being featured in a half-page color ad in the Observer, a Fitbit Flex and a free, healthy breakfast for up to 30. Don't miss out!

Please join us for a Culinary tour with some of the finest Chef's in Central Florida at our annual 5C Charity event featuring Marc Kusche, The Alfond Inn; Kathleen Blake, The Rusty Spoon, Kevin Fonzo, K Restaurant; Henry Salgado, Spanish River Grill; and Fabrizio Schenardi, Four Seasons Resort. Each chef will prepare one of the five courses and the proceeds from the event will go to five charities selected by the participating chefs, including National Blood Clot Alliance, Second Harvest Food Bank's Culinary Training Program, Kevin Fonzo Foundation, PACE Center for Girls and Nemours Hospital for Children. The Romeros Concert
