With this privilege, over 75 executive directors, board members and program managers from community leadership programs across the nation will be traveling here April 7 - 8. Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens Capen House
Be the first to welcome conference attendees to Winter Park! A complimentary reception featuring hor d'oeuvres, beverages and tours of the museum grounds and Capen House will kick-off the conference. The Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour will pick-up guests from the museum boat dock for private tours of the chain of lakes. Following the reception, alumni are encouraged to join conference attendees for dinner at one of the Park Avenue area restaurants.

Car Parking Fundraiser
It's that time of year again and LWP will be parking cars during the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival on March 18 - 20. We will have three lots in downtown Winter Park throughout the weekend:
Car Parking
Lot 1: 
Winter Park Chamber of Commerce - 151 W. Lyman Avenue
Lot 2: 
Florida Community Bank - 369 N. New York Avenue
Lot 3: 
Former Cooper, Simms, Nelson & Mosley Building - 271 W. Canton Avenue

If you will be in downtown Winter Park for the festival, take a two-hour shift to support the LWP Car Parking Fundraiser or park your car in on of our lots. All proceeds will support the LWP Legacy Fund!

Government Session Wrap-Up
The Class XXVI Government session day was a success! On February 11, the class had an opportunity to receive a behind-the-scenes look at the City of Winter Park and even role play scenarios from our community's protectors - the Police and Fire-Rescue departments. Joe Hull, Class XXV 
Completed his first marathon on January 10 at Walt Disney World. See his finisher medal photo to the right. Joe also began a new job as Commercial Fulfillment Specialist at BB&T.

Jason Venning, Class XXIV
Started his own firm, JV Accounting Solutions LLC, to assist small business owners with accounting needs.

Danielle Jimenez, Class XXV
Began a new position as Marketing Manager at Lake Highland Preparatory School.

Welcomed new daughter, Madelyn Elizabeth, on February 6.

Completed three races in two days, running a total of 25.5 miles in the Gasparilla Distance Classic on February 20 & 21.

OCPS Tech Centers - Winter Park is collecting winter coats and jackets for the Coat Closet. They are in need of larger sizes for both genders. If you have any in your closet that you would like to donate to a good cause, please drop them off to Pam so that she can get them to students in need!

Winter Park's 2nd Annual Bike to Work Day is approaching! On Wednesday, March 9th, everyone is encouraged to ride their bikes to work. At 3:30pm, meet in North Central Park near Garfield Ave for a 45-min group ride (with police escort and rolling road closures) for a beautiful trip through Winter Park! At 5pm, there will be a Happy, Healthy Hour at Boca. Register on Facebook.
