AUTUMN ART FESTIVAL WEEKEND IS ALMOST HERE!
The Winter Park Autumn Art Festival, presented by Florida Distributing Company and Subaru celebrates its 42nd anniversary on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, 2015. At its permanent home in Central Park, located along beautiful Park Avenue, the Winter Park Autumn Art Festival is the only juried fine art show to showcase Florida artists exclusively.
| 2015 Winter Park Autumn Art Festival |
New this year, the festival welcomes an additional 30 artists and will extend from the boundaries of Central Park to include booths on Park Avenue. From over 425 applications, 180 of Florida's outstanding artists were selected to display their works in ten different categories, including ceramics, digital art, drawings and graphics, fiber, fine crafts, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography and sculpture.
Local artist Kate Carney's painting of a majestic peacock was selected as the featured image for the 2015 festival poster. Posters can be purchased in advance at the Winter Park Welcome Center, located at 151 W. Lyman Avenue. In addition, Winter Park's iconic bird will be featured on postcards, t-shirts and tote bags with all merchandise available at the festival.
Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy live musical entertainment on the Northwestern Mutual Stage, children's art workshops led by instructors from The Crealdé School of Art, seasonal craft beers in the New Belgium Brewing beer garden, food vendors and a sidewalk sale at local merchants. The event is free and open to the public both days from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
