GET READY FOR CHAMBER WEEK 2015
The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce has declared September 10 - 18 as Winter Park Chamber Week 2015. Mark your calendars, register in advance for the ticketed events highlighted in the UPCOMING EVENTS & PROGRAMS section below and invite your friends and clients to discover how active and involved our organization is in the community.

'Chamber Week' kicks off with the popular Winter Park Sip, Shop & Stroll event on September 10 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Park Avenue. This evening on the town features wine, hors d'oeuvres and a preview of the latest fashions, gift ideas and seasonal menu items at
31 local merchants. That includes stops at new merchants including Glorious Beautiful Hair Supply & Boutique, Jewelers on the Park and Small Business Counsel, as well as a visit inside the Winter Park History Museum, among others. The event was even named a 'great date' by the Orlando Date Night Guide earlier this year. Tickets are $25 and reservations are strongly encouraged as this event often sells out in advance. The other highlight during Chamber Week is the inaugural Winter Park Outlook luncheon at The Alfond Inn. This panel discussion moderated by Dick Batchelor will bring together local experts in the areas of government, business, health, real estate and education for an in-depth conversation on the state of our community. Winter Park Memorial Hospital: Pink Out Winter Park, the tradition that raises funds for breast cancer screenings through the sales of iconic yard flamingos is now underway! Flamingos can be purchased at select Winter Park businesses, including the Chamber of Commerce, and each bird includes a name tag honoring someone affected by breast cancer. Proceeds from the flamingo sales go to the Winter Park Memorial Hospital Mammography Scholarship Fund, which has helped nearly 180 women who otherwise could not afford the screening. John Nolen: The Art of City Planning & Its Restoration

Bruce Stephenson will share insights from his new biography, "John Nolen: Landscape Architect & City Planner." It is the final volume in a trilogy Stephenson has written analyzing the origins of city planning, a profession that grew out of the fine art of landscape architecture. Stephenson will share the art and relevance of Nolen's work, especially in regard to sustainability and historic preservation. Considered to be the heart and soul of Winter Park Concours d'Elegance weekend, invited participants will exercise their automobiles for a ceremonial and qualifying cruise. The mile-long cavalcade of classic and exotic cars begins in Hannibal Square and travels down Park Avenue, escorted by the Winter Park Police Department. The Tour will conclude at the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens with a garden party lunch overlooking Lake Osceola. 14th Annual Winter Park Concours d'Elegance
