FAIR TRADE SURVEY

The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce has partnered with students at Rollins College to conduct a survey of local businesses regarding Fair Trade products available in the City and surrounding area. In 2012 Winter Park earned the status as a certified Fair Trade Town. To support this initiative, the Chamber is interested in compiling a database of businesses that sell Fair Trade goods. National Walking Day: April 1, 2015

These days, we're spending more time at work and sitting in front of a screen than ever before. We're becoming less active, which can increase our risk of heart disease, stroke and other diseases.


Take the first step to a healthier life by taking part in the American Heart Association's National Walking Day today, April 1. On this day, Americans are encouraged to lace up their sneakers and take 30 minutes out of their day to get up and walk.

Annie Russell Theatre: We're launching a new program for the 15/16 season called "Annie Elite" Winter Park passport. This postcard-sized piece will contain one-time use discounts to area merchants, and be mailed with tickets to our subscription holders this summer. Full Sail University: In partnership with Maker Studios, the global leader in short-form video and the largest content network on YouTube, the university recently announced a unique collaboration to produce premium programming at the new digital entertainment studio "REBL HQ" located on the its campus, as well as develop and launch an online video creator curriculum.

 

Hamilton Holt School at Rollins College: Do you want to teach a topic that you are passionate about and without the hassle of grading or finals? Consider teaching an Rollins Center for Lifelong Learning class this summer! We are accepting class proposals for May, June, and/or July.
