SPEND ART FESTIVAL WEEKEND IN WINTER PARK!
The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and Hannibal
Square Merchants Association are thrilled to kick off art festival weekend in Winter Park at the Hannibal Square Wine Tasting presented by SIX The Agency. Held on Thursday, March 19, the event is a celebration of fine wine and includes wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres from local eateries, plus live entertainment. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Buy tickets here.
Thursday also marks the first day of the Park Avenue Sidewalk Sale (running through Sunday, March 22). Shoppers can be on the look out for savings from 50-75% off at participating merchants. Details at www.experienceparkavenue.com.
The big event for the weekend is the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival. The festival is one of the nation's most prestigious outdoor art festivals and it attracts 350,000 visitors to downtown Winter Park. Festival hours are as follows: Friday, March 20, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend activities include: Friday night concert, children's workshop village, sidewalk sale, open house at the Morse Museum, and much more. New this year, SunRail® will offer FREE train service during the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, 2015, operating from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. SunRail will operate its normal ticketed schedule on Friday, March 20. Nestled among the oak-shaded, brick-paved streets of one of the most picturesque hometowns in the country, Winter Park Memorial Hospital has continuously served the residents of Winter Park and its surrounding communities for more than 50 years. Chartered in 1951, the hospital has grown from the visionary efforts of a handful of Winter Park residents and community leaders, to a 297-bed acute care facility that is a model of community health and wellness. Over the years the hospital has continually expanded to meet the needs of the community, adding an upscale obstetrics and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place, cancer care at the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, Winter Park, and state-of-the-art surgery, recovery and rehabilitation at the Florida Hospital Orthopaedic Institute. Last year, over 15,000 patients were treated at Winter Park Memorial Hospital, including 2,400 baby deliveries and 39,000 at the Emergency Department. In addition, over 8,700 surgical procedures were performed. The hospital employs over 1,400 workers including nurses, technicians and support staff. Over 200 doctors practice at the hospital, including a complete in-house staff of some of the most highly-qualified physicians and specialists in the area.

Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival Car Parking March 20 - 22
It's that time of year again - the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival Car Parking Fundraiser will be held March 20 - 22! We have three lots in the downtown area and we need your help collecting funds, welcoming guests and directing them to parking places. All proceeds support the LWP Scholarship Fund and the establishment of a new endowment! 2-hour shifts will be available from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

City of Winter Park: The City of Winter Park has recently been certified as a Tree Line USA® Utility by the National Arbor Day Foundation®. The certification recognizes that Winter Park has met the five requirements for protection and enhancement of community trees including, quality tree care, annual worker training, community tree planting and public education, tree-based energy conservation program and Arbor Day observance.

New and gently used sweaters can be dropped off thru March 22 at various locations at Rollins College, the Winter Park Library and the Winter Park History Museum, which is hosting a weekend exhibition, "Mister Rogers Birthday Party" on March 20 and 21. Both adult and children's sizes are needed.
