Wood-Look Tile
Get the look of wood floors without the risk of water damage
Considering a new floor in your basement, but worried about a future flood?  This tile lends your room the atmosphere of a wood floor, but because it doesn't swell when wet, unlike hardwoods and laminates, it holds up very well in the event of a basement flood or water seepage.  See other pictures on our Tile page on Pinterest.

Some tile colors might be a little overwhelming for an entire shower or backsplash, but what about using them for an accent wall or row, or at the back of a shower niche?  This bathroom features a dark row of accent tile to contrast the lighter shower wall tile.
Mosaic Strips
Mosaic strip tile is growing in popularity and is a common sight at tile showrooms.  Orienting the strips vertically can help accentuate a feeling of high ceilings in a shower, while laying them horizontally can be an attractive look for a kitchen backsplash.
