HMS Foundation Funds (formerly the Red Book)
HMS Foundation Funds

Each year several foundations invite HMS faculty and postdocs to apply for their fellowships and grants, which serve as critical funding at the early stages of a research career. Interested investigators must first apply for the HMS nomination through the HMS Foundation Funds, and a committee will select the final candidates to submit applications to the foundations. Some of the funding opportunity sponsors have invited DFCI to submit separate from this process. In such a case that DFCI has been invited to submit, you must go through DFCI and cannot submit through the HMS Foundation Funds process for that particular sponsor. Your first step should be to review

the DFCI limited application website to be sure you are submitting through the proper mechanism. If you are still unsure please email Tami Simmons.
