GET READY TO RACE SATURDAY! 
It's time to race in the La Sportiva Vail Mountain Trail Running Series with the Summer Solstice 5K, 10K and Kids Fun Run presented by the Vail Valley Charitable Fund! The trail running series, presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, will test runners with over 50 miles of scenic, grueling and rewarding climbs, descents and rolling countryside for a total elevation gain of 16,475 ft. over seven events throughout the summer.
 
Race Details 
The course begins and finishes in Creekside Park in Beaver Creek. The Kids Fun Run will begin at 9:30 a.m., 10K will begin at 10 a.m. followed by the 5K start at 10:05 a.m. Races will be followed by an after-party in Creekside Park. 
 
Course Description  
Runners will exit Creekside Park and climb Offerson Road before heading out onto the Beaver Creek Village Loop trail. Runners will warm up their legs on single track through the eastern hillside and then tackle the steep Aspen Glade trail to the first aid station at mile 2.2. 5K runners will head downhill from the first aid station and return to Creekside Park, while 10K runners will head off onto more single track via Allie's Way, traversing across Beaver Creek Mountain. Aid station #2 welcomes runners at mile 3.7, followed by a quick climb and then settling out nicely on the Village to Village trail where runners will begin their descent back into Beaver Creek Village and Creekside Park.   
 
Friday Registration and Bib Pickup:
Register or pick up preregistration information/bibs from 3-6 p.m. at Haute Route in Avon (next to Pazzo's Pizza). 
 
Day-of Registration:
8-9:30 a.m. at the race start/finish area in Creekside Park. 
 
Day-of Preregistered Bib Pickup:
8-9:45 a.m. at the race start/finish area in Creekside Park.
  
Parking
Please park in any of the Beaver Creek Village parking structures or in the Beaver Creek Elk and Bear shuttle lots at the base of Beaver Creek. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Creekside Park is located just north and downhill of Beaver Creek Village on the banks of Beaver Creek. Follow the paved bike path, located across the street from the Beaver Creek Lodge, for approximately a quarter mile to the entrance of the park. 
 
Post-Race
Included with your race entry, make sure to grab your awesome tech t-shirt (while supplies last) and an athlete bag at race finish, as well as some Noosa Yoghurt before lunch! There will also be popsicles and a kids' raffle following the kids fun run. 
 
Enjoy live music and and a lunch catered by Moe's Original BBQ followed by awards and raffle prizes! 
 
Weather
Saturday looks to be perfect racing weather with a cool and mostly sunny forecast, please be prepared with proper clothing.
