VAIL GOLF CLUB COURSE CONDITIONS UPDATE
The new fleet of golf carts has arrived, now available for rent
(Vail, Colo.) - June has arrived and with it comes the sunshine and 70 degree temperatures we have all been waiting for. Word is out that the Vail Golf Course is open and play is amazing! With lush fairways and spectacular views of the Gore Range, we invite locals and guest in the valley to come out and enjoy our incredible course.

1) #10 Fairway - #10 Fairway is now fully restored and play resumed on May 27 as anticipated. The last step in the restoration was to spread native blend seed to the area on the far north of the fairway, closest to Gore Creek. Erosion control blankets were also installed to mitigate erosion issues and accelerate the growth in process. The Vail golf maintenance staff is watering the entire area multiple times daily and has installed ropes and directional signage to assist in the navigation and play of the area.

Anticipated Completion Date: Complete and Open for Play!

2) Driving Range - Work on the driving range is moving along at a brisk pace. Subgrade work is complete on the east end of the range and is ready for sod. Moving west, the subgrade has been prepped and is now ready for the irrigation repair crew to get started. Sand and topsoil will follow. We now have three different crews of contractors and the Vail golf maintenance crew is working diligently to get this area restored and ready for play.

Anticipated Completion Date: Artificial surface by June 17, natural grass surface by July 4

3) Practice Areas - Getting the practice area complete is now our top priority as we will be working from west to east on restoration. All subgrades were approved by Vail golf staff and irrigation is now being installed, along with drain lines. Once this work is complete we will be importing material to work on finish grade and final shaping of the chipping green and bunker.

Anticipated Completion Date: July 4

4) Parking - The south side of the parking lot is open and we are now working on some landscaping around the parking lot. The finish area for the course is now on the south east side of the parking lot. We will also be staging carts in the parking lot for guests to be able grab a cart and drive to the check in. A friendly reminder to please book your tee times in advance so we can effectively manage the available parking.

Anticipated Completion Date: Complete and Open for Parking!

**New & Exciting! - The Vail Golf Course took delivery of our new fleet of golf carts for the 2016 season. Carts are now available for play. The Town of Vail received a TCO for the cart barn within the clubhouse, so carts will be stored, charged and ready for play!**
