RACE DETAILS
The race starts at 9 a.m. behind Eagle Valley Middle School at the Boneyard trailhead and will finish at the Eagle Pool and Ice Rink in the Eagle Ranch neighborhood. This is a point-to-point race.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Map
The trail includes a switchback single track through the wooded BLM area, emerging from the trees and into rolling sagebrush fields. Runners will encounter some trail splits along the way, plus several short, bursting climbs. Once at top of the climb, the single-track trail descends to the Eagle Pool and Ice Arena for a fast downhill run to the finish. There will be aid stations at miles 1.6 and 3.4.

Student Rates (K-12): $35 week-of registration, $45 day-of registration, $160 series registration.

Friday Registration and Bib Pickup:
Register or pick up preregistration information/bibs from 4-6 p.m. at Haute Route in Avon (next to Pazzo's Pizza).

Day-of Registration:
7:30-8:30 a.m. at the race finish area at the Eagle Pool and Ice Rink.

Day-of Preregistered Bib Pickup:
7:30-8:45 a.m. at the race start, located behind Eagle Valley Middle School.

PARKING
This race is a point-to-point race. Racers are encouraged to park at the finish area at the Eagle Pool and either use the free shuttle service provided by AmericInn from the pool to the race start, or take a 1.6 mile warm-up run along the bike path to the trailhead start area. Parking is also available at the Eagle Valley Middle School for preregistered racers. A shuttle will run to the middle school following the race. No parking is allowed in the Bluffs neighborhood. 
PRIZES & SWAG

CASH & PRIZES
East West Destination Hospitality will award $150 to both the male and female winners who set a new record for the course. The female record is 51:08 and the male record is 47:04. Additional prizes will be presented to the top three finishers of each age group, with series prizes awarded to the top three finishers who compete in at least five events.

All running participants will receive a Greenlayer Tech-T, featuring unique designs at every race. Don't forget to pick up your swag bag including refuel goodies and great deals.

MEET YOUR MEDICAL SUPPORT CREW
The Steadman Clinic/Steadman Philippon Research Institute provides sports medicine coverage for the VRD mountain bike and trail running series. Athletic trainers are at each race and provide injury prevention, first aid, injury evaluation and referrals in case you get hurt. They are located at the start/finish line in The Steadman Clinic tent. Please feel free to use these services. Your athletic trainer for this week's race is:
Tiffany Kobordo
 

Tiffany is originally from New Tripoli, Pennsylvania. She graduated with summa cum laude distinction from Concord University in 2012. There she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training while competing as a Division II collegiate softball and soccer player. After graduation, she continued her education at Kent State University where she worked as a teaching assistant and lab instructor in the Athletic Training Department and received a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology with a concentration in Athletic Training. During her time at Kent State she taught exercise science and athletic training courses and labs while also acting as a preceptor for undergraduate students. In addition to this, she also worked as an athletic trainer for a local high school, covered sport camps at Kent State and volunteered at the Akron Marathon medical tent. In May of 2015 she completed her Master's thesis at Kent State exploring the effects of low-level laser therapy on muscle soreness and recovery. Tiffany enjoys playing in adult sport leagues and pickup games, working out, exploring the outdoors and appreciating the beauty of nature. She is excited to experience all that Vail has to offer and to work alongside the exceptional physicians, athletic trainers and MD fellows at the Steadman clinic.
