GET READY TO RACE SATURDAY! 
It's time to begin the La Sportiva Vail Trail Running Series with the Boneyard Boogie presented by The Dusty Boot! The trail running series, presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, will test runners with over 50 miles of scenic, grueling and rewarding climbs, descents and rolling countryside for a total elevation gain of 16,475 ft. over seven events throughout the summer.
 
Race Details 
The race begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 14 behind Eagle Valley Middle School at the Boneyard trailhead. The race will finish at the Eagle Pool and Ice Rink in the Eagle Ranch neighborhood. This is a point-to-point race.
 
Course Description  
The trail includes a switchback single track through wooded BLM area and rolling sagebrush fields. Runners will encounter some trail splits along the way, plus several short, bursting climbs. Once at the top of the climb, the single-track trail descends to the Eagle Pool and Ice Arena for a fast downhill run to the finish. There will be aid stations at miles 1.8 and 3.4.  
 
Friday Registration and Bib Pickup:
Register or pick up preregistration information and bibs on Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Haute Route in Avon (next to Pazzo's Pizza).  
 
Day-of Registration:
Registration will be open from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the race finish area at the Eagle Pool and Ice Rink.  
 
Day-of Preregistered Bib Pickup: 
Preregistered racers can pick up bibs from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at the race start, located behind Eagle Valley Middle School. 
 
Public restrooms will be available at the pool/ice rink facility at the finish area and portable sanitation is provided in the start area near the Eagle Valley Middle School.
  
Parking
This race is a point-to-point race. Racers are encouraged to park at the Eagle pool and either use the free shuttle service provided by AmericInn from the pool/rink to the race start or take a 1.6 mile warm-up run along the bike path to the trailhead start area. Parking is also available at the Eagle Valley Middle School for preregistered racers. A shuttle will run to the middle school following the race. No parking is allowed in the Bluffs neighborhood.
 
Post-Race
Included with your race entry, make sure to grab your awesome tech t-shirt (while supplies last) and an athlete bag at race finish, as well as some Noosa Yoghurt before lunch! 
 
Don't forget to check out all of our awesome sponsor tents while you wait for the awards ceremony and raffle... La Sportiva, Haute Route and Steadman Philipon Research Institute will all be at the finish to answer your questions and showcase their newest product lines.  
 
Race results will be posted every 10-15 minutes near the timing trailer.
 
An after-party will take place at The Dusty Boot in Eagle Ranch where racers will be treated to a pasta lunch.
 
Weather
Saturday looks to be perfect racing weather with a cool and mostly sunny forecast, please be prepared with proper clothing. We will have bags located at start area for racers to store extra clothing and we will transfer these bags to the finish area prior to race completion.
