VAIL RECREATION DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS CANDIDATE FORUM SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 24
(Vail, Colo.) - The 2016 Vail Parks and Recreation District Board of Directors Candidate Forum will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 in the Vail Town Council Chambers. Candidates will answer a series of questions from a moderator and field questions from a live audience. Five candidates, Roland J Kjesbo, Stephen "Cone" Connolly, Brian Rodine, Bill J Suarez and Rodney Johnson, are running for the two Board of Director seats.
 
The public is encouraged to attend and will be invited to submit questions upon arrival. The forum will be moderated with each candidate having the opportunity to address questions and issues in a time controlled manner.
 
The election will be conducted as a polling place election. The polling place, located in the Grand View Room on the third floor of the Lionshead Welcome Center, 395 E. Lionshead Circle in Vail, will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3.
 
Absentee voting requests are now being accepted. An Application for Absentee Ballot can be downloaded by going to www.vailrec.com/elections or may be requested at the VRD Administration Office, 700 S. Frontage Road E. in Vail. The final day to file an absentee ballot application is April 29, 2016.
