Community Programming Offers Chocolate Making Workshop on Feb. 12
(Vail, Colo.)--The Vail Recreation District will offer a Chocolate Making Workshop from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12 at the Vail Community Programming Room, located above the Vail Welcome Center at the southwest end of the Lionshead parking structure. The event is perfect for "chocoholics" and will feature a cash bar for those 21 and older.

Cornerstone Chocolates will lead the workshop, teaching participants how to
properly handle chocolate with a hands-on approach to make delicious and elegant looking treats to keep or share.  All chocolate-making materials and light snacks will be provided at the event. The cost is $20 per person and participants will go home with their creations. The instructor fee to Cornerstone Chocolates is graciously underwritten by the Town of Vail Library.

"This workshop was a great success last year and is a perfect opportunity to make something for the upcoming Valentine's holiday, or better yet, come with that special someone to make treats together," said Community Programming Director Chad Young. "Nibbling on your creations is encouraged."

The workshop is available for those 16 and older. Youth under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations are required as space is limited. To register, call 970-479-2292.

In addition to this special workshop, the VRD's Community Programming department offers a number of great community programs ranging from fitness classes, children's programs, art classes and birthday parties.
