Here's another stiff neck relief tip for you:
Sleeping on Your Side Can Be Dangerous
Sleeping on your side, with a pillow under your neck, is often recommended as the best way to set yourself up for a good night's sleep. Still, I found that this position could also be an issue for my neck. When snuggling down to block out the busy stimulation of my day, I'd burrow my face deeply into my chest. This chin-tucked-in position flattened the curve at the back of my neck. The back of my neck even looks strained. How to plant the seed for healthful sleep... We know that the position we fall asleep in will NOT be the one we wake up in. But, starting the night off with good awareness of our alignment is the best (perhaps all!) we can do.

Solution:
Lie on your side, setting yourself up with the pillow/s underneath your neck and head. Leave space between your chin and chest. It may not feel so snugly at first, but rest assured that you are respecting the natural curve your neck.
How Many Pillows Should You Use?
Using too many pillows could also flatten one side of your neck. Your pillow height should correspond to the broadness of your shoulders in relation to your head. For a good side lying sleep position, fill up the space between your head and the bed with pillow.
I hope that this is helpful!
