Throughout our life, we are constantly looking ahead. Our neck muscles tighten to support the forward thrust of our head.

We flatten the curve of our neck in a military style attempt at good posture. This was my problem years ago - trying too hard to be straight!
What to do? A neutral curve of your neck should include:
- Soft, supple muscles between your skull and the top of your neck
- A natural curve that moves toward your Adam's Apple
