From her desk to the Roof of Africa
Like many of us, KE Sales Manager Vanessa Douglas spends her working week sitting behind a desk in a busy office. So when we told Vanessa we're sending her to Tanzania to climb Africa's highest mountain on our popular Kilimanjaro Trek and Safari holiday, we thought we would find out how she plans to juggle her busy day job with training for this famous epic ascent of 5894 metres.

Pristine Snow and No Crowds
|
Hot Springs below Northern Lights
Iceland provides a unique winter landscape with pristine snow conditions and endless opportunities for ski touring. Why not head away from the crowded Alps this winter and submerse yourself in the Landmannalaugar hot springs beneath the stunning Northern Lights. Iceland is the perfect viewing platform for the Aurora Borealis, being located just south of the Arctic Circle; and with the peak of the Solar Maximum taking place this winter they will be at their most active for the past ten years. With easy terrain and professional guiding this is a winter holiday that works for both accomplished skiers and for fit newcomers.

Peru Solar Panel Project
|
Juniper Trust Update
KE Leader Val Pitkethly has recently delivered an additional 200 solar lights to three remote villages in Peru which means a total of 4000 homes now receive essential light in the evenings and early mornings. "The solar lights are particularly beneficial for elderly who live in very basic huts that are usually windowless and for kids who have no lights to studying at home. We've had fun with folks trying to remove batteries and using them for radios and others covering them in plastic bags to keep them clean, so it's been fun and games teaching proper usage". Since 1997, KE has worked closely with Val and the Juniper Trust and has a very successful record of locating aid projects and carrying them out.
