We are happy to report that numerous local news agencies published articles and produced television news reports and interviews surrounding the conference and ESL week, helping us in our endeavor to raise awareness about the importance of ESL educators in Ontario.

The news coverage included a Roger TV interview with TESL Ontario's Executive Director, Renate Tilson and a video news report from 519Online about the conference and ESL Week contest winners.

New Conference Location for 2014

We are pleased to announce the TESL Ontario 2014 Annual Conference will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) - South Building on October 16 - 18, 2014.

Although the conference evaluations for the 2013 annual conference were very positive, and the Allstream Centre itself was well received by attendees - the shuttle bus service was not as efficient as we had hoped and made it difficult for many attendees to enjoy the conference.  As a result, we will be moving the conference for 2014 to the MTCC.

The MTCC is centrally located, close to Union Station.  It is easily accessible by public transit and attendees will be able to easily walk to the MTCC from the Sheraton Centre by taking "The Path" underground to Union Station and then `The Skywalk` from Union to the MTCC, or by taking a short subway ride to Union Station and walking from there.

Hotel arrangements will remain at the Sheraton Centre, as well as the Friday night dinner.  All sessions and other events will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.  Sessions, exhibits, keynotes and registration will all be located on one floor at the MTCC, creating a very close, connected atmosphere.
