2015 Summer Institute Registration is Open!
Registration is open for the 11th Summer Institute! The 2015 Host Committee has a dazzling array of programs and presentations planned in the pristine Utah State University setting in Logan, Utah. This Institute's theme is "The Harp Elevated - New Directions" and we hope you too will be inspired. The early registration deadline is April 1st.
The 21st National Competition application guidelines are now available. Applications are due April 15th online. We are pleased to offer an on-line application process and welcome feedback to provide improved experiences. Come and enjoy hearing some of our brightest talents today in the Competition finals!
New Institute opportunities include the Orchestra Project for harpists age 19 and younger. The deadline for students to apply is April 25th online. Institute registrants can also participate in Open Coaching Sessions with Courtney Hershey Bress (Colorado Symphony Orchestra) and Alexandra Katelyn Mullins (AHS 2013-2015 Concert Artist).
The 2016 National Conference planning is moving forward with inspiring themes with respect for the rich history, relationships, and culture Atlanta offers with an eye towards an engaging the next generations for the future. The deadline for 2016 Call for Proposals is April 1st. Please visit the webpages for more information on the 2016 mission statement and programmatic themes.
Our Spring 2015 Grants Program deadline is March 15th. Over the past five years, the Grants Program has resulted in numerous new works, chapter activities, and launched us into new directions. In June, you will get to hear some of the artists and works supported by this program, created to encourage and give back to the AHS membership.
If June 2015 or July 2016 can't come soon enough, please check out our Event Calendar online and submit events. As an AHS member, you can submit upcoming harp events online here and you can check www.harpsociety.org to find out about upcoming harp events from all over.
