The Currituck Heritage Festival is tomorrow from 11-5 at the Currituck County Rural Center in Powells Point.  The agenda is packed with fun and entertainment for the whole family.  Come out and see the CCHS Chorus, ROTC, FFA Archery Station, Trick Horseback Riders, Live Music with Slow Livin', Rabbit Show, Corolla Wild Horse, Capt'n Darby, Corn Shucking Contests, Antique Cars and Farm Equipment, Climbing Wall, Cake Walk, Pony Rides, Fishing, Exhibitors and Vendors, Local Beer and Wine and so much more!  Five dollar food vouchers will be awarded to the first 1000 visitors.  These can be used just like cash at select vendors.   
  
4-H & YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Learning about circuits and soldering will be the focus of the upcoming 4-H electric workshop to be held on Saturday, September 26th from 9-1. This event is free for youth ages 11 and older.  Lunch is provided, but you must pre-register. 
FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCE
The annual "Aging With Gusto Extravaganza" will be held on Thursday, Ocober 15th at the Currituck Extension Center. This event seeks to offer information and activities to help our senior adults remain active, vital, independent and connected. 
AGRICULTURE
The Currituck Extension Master Gardeners will be holding their fall plant sale on Saturday, September 26th from 9-12. A variety of plants will be available for purchase to enhance your fall landscape.  This event is open to the public and will be held at the Extension Center in Barco. Read more.
