You didn't have to take a test to get licensed when you started your business and don't have to get re-certified to grow it. And yet, owning a business is one of the riskiest things a person can do because many start with their own assets or those of friends and families. The Business Growth Center wants to empower business owners to make decisions about their companies that will reduce their risk.  We have training and other programs designed for this, like the Capacity Building for Growth described below. So, whether you're starting a business or growing your existing business, make it stronger and be informed.
Business Growth Programs
Meet your buyers. Grow your business: April 8 and 15

Meet your local buyers from some of the Pioneer Valley's larger corporations and be ready to grow your business! This two-day workshop, developed and delivered by national experts at Next Street in partnership with the Economic Development Council of Western Massachusetts, will help small, local businesses develop core business skills to scale their com Next Street panies, as well as learn how to secure contracts from large local corporations. Procurement officers from some of the region's large corporations, including Baystate Health, Big Y, UMass, MGM and others, will be there. We hope you will, too.

And, if your company subsequently gets a loan to expand your company's capacity from Common Capital of $100K or more, Common Capital will refund the cost of this program.  How's that for managing your risk?
