Beartooth Highway - Spring Opening
The historic opening date for the Beartooth Highway is the Friday before Memorial Day weekend.

In 2014 - Friday, May 23, 2014

Every effort will be made to have the Beartooth Highway open on schedule.  This opening date is dependent on winter snowfall accumulations at high elevations, weather conditions leading up to opening day, and plowing schedules.  Updates and schedule changes will be posted to the Beartooth Highway website and distributed via this Friends of the Beartooth Highway RoadReport e-newsletter as quickly as they become available.
