Today we learn. Tomorrow we lead.

We are excited to announce the launch of our brand new website! After many months of careful planning, we are delighted to have a website that shares who we are at Blackstone Valley Prep (BVP) Mayoral Academy and highlights the accomplishments of our scholars.

We invite you to visit our website today! In addition to a fresh new look, some of the features our new website has are:
  • A mobile friendly design.
  • A live feed from Twitter.

  • The ability to set-up recurring donations online.
  • The ability to translate from English to Spanish.
Our blog and press releases are also now fully integrated into our website so you can view all news about BVP in one place. We hope you enjoy exploring our new website and encourage you to share it with your friends and colleagues.

The For Art's Sake Scholar Art Show
(left to right) Elementary School 3 Art teacher Kayleigh Smith, Artist Joyce Kutty, and Art Director Michelle Turner in a feature about the donation to Rhode Island Hospital printed in the Valley Breeze.

Earlier this month, our BVP community gathered to celebrate our artistic community. For Art's Sake, our annual scholar art show and artisan fair, puts artwork on display for every scholar at BVP. Which means that the event showcased almost 1,400 pieces of artwork including photography, paintings, sculptures, and more.

The show also featured workshops presented by guest artist, Joyce Kutty. Throughout the day, Joyce led groups of visitors through tutorials on how to make origami flowers. The flowers were then used to craft three paper flower bouquets that were donated to patients at Rhode Island Hospital. For more on our art show and the donation, click here for our blog.
