St. Michael's Academy

What a great school year at St. Michael's Academy! I want to thank all of our faculty, staff, students, parents, grandparents and guardians for working together to make it such a great one.  May you all enjoy a safe, healthy and happy summer.

Ann E. Dougal

A Summertime Blessing

Go now and know that Jesus will be
watching over you as you begin
the summer months ahead.

As you enjoy God's summer gifts
of warm sun, cooling water and
long days, I ask Him to bless you,
guide you and keep you safe.

Please remember all that you
have learned this school year
and keep the gift of faith in
everything that you do.

Offer kindness to all that you
meet; offer care to those in need.
Help others that they might
see God's handiwork in all that
they have around them.

May the brightness of the
summer sun and the beauty of
its light remind you daily of
Jesus' love for you.

A St. Michael's Academy Graduate

St. Michael's Academy is proud to present you with this video of the Class of 2016 at their graduation ceremony. If you sometimes wonder what a SMA graduate looks like, here are some perfect examples. These fine young ladies and gentlemen are the product of a Catholic education and have obtained a solid academic and character foundation for each of their futures.

They are....St. Michael's Academy!

Summer activities are taking on a new face here at St. Michael's Academy.  We are introducing all students to MobyMax, an adaptive curriculum that creates a unique, individualized learning plan for each student.  During the summer, student skills often become stagnant making the start of the school year more challenging than it needs to be.  MobyMax allows students to work at personalized learning levels in reading and math.  This is a digital program which can be used on any computer, tablet, or cell phone (with internet capabilities).  All students were registered before the end of the school year and personal log in information will be sent home with their final report cards.  New students will be registered through the school office and can begin participating immediately in these review activities.

Ms. Dougal is also issuing a Moby Max Summer Challenge.  Every student that completes the required grade level minutes will be rewarded with a free dress down day on Friday, September 2.

The School Year Comes To A Close

Another Year Comes To A Close

It's hard to believe that another school year has come to a close. St. Michael's Academy thanks Fr. Matt Alcombright from Mary Mother of Hope Church for celebrating Mass with us on the last day of school. Father reminded the students to keep Jesus in their hearts and even though they were taking a vacation from school, it shouldn't  mean a vacation from Jesus.

And before Mass, we were treated to some delightful music from the Honors Recorder players.

And the morning finished up with our awards assembly. Congratulations to all the students receiving awards. To view the award photos, click here.

Prayer Corner

St. Michael the Archangel, pray for us!  rosary-beads.jpg
We pray for all St. Michael's Academy students, families, faculty, and staff, and their special intentions.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Letendre
Sherry Lynn Willis

And we pray in a special way for all our recently departed.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Our prayers continue to be with Mr. Rancitelli, who is undergoing treatment for a cancer recurrence. Each week, a different homeroom sends him cards. If your family would like to send a card, please send it to school with your child, clearly marked for Mr. Rancitelli. His family has set up a blog to write about this experience.Click here to read the blog.
