One of the Best Things

I've learned over the years that one of the best things I can do for myself is to have a massage once a month. Once it's booked I don't have to think about scheduling it again and I never get to a point where I'm longing for a massage. If you're anything like me, my calendar dictates my life. Appointments are my lifeline and I always check my calendar before I say "yes or no" to any event. A pre-booked appointment is not only something to look forward to, but it actually makes my life easier.

hot stone massage 1 It may sound funny, but at the beginning of the week of my scheduled appointment, I find myself day dreaming about it. And one of the first things that comes to mind is that moment when I crawl onto the table into the warmth and the softness of the sheets. I know for the next 60 or 90 minutes I am going to be cradled in pleasure. The music, the aroma, and of course the sensation of touch just warms my soul.

hot stone massageThe last time I had a massage I decided to indulge myself and booked a Hot Stone Massage. Have you ever tried one? It's totally delicious!!! The stones are heated in a basin of hot water and then they glide over your muscles in such a way that the heat just sinks into your body. Any stress that you carry just seems to melt instantly away. It's totally relaxing and wonderful. I always feel very well cared for when ever I receive this treatment.

Benefits of Hot Stone Massage

Here are some of the benefits as spelled out by Jason Ladock in Health Guidance:

kundalia energy "A hot stone massage involves the use of water treated stones for doing the massage. Stones are placed over specific parts of the body. This sort

of massage is said to evoke the inherent kundalini energy.

Hot stone massage is associated with many benefits and it has been

in existence since 1500 B.C, during which the Native Americans and Europeans used it. Some of the benefits are easy relaxation of the muscles, helps to get rid of stress, helps to release toxins and also reduces the pain. By improving circulation throughout the body it promotes overall health.

Hot stone massage is used as a therapy to relieve certain health problems such as arthritis, anxiety, stress, back pain, depression, insomnia and problems related to blood circulation.

The stones that are used include the basalt stones and polished and hardened lava stones. These stones are gradually placed along the points experiencing severe pressure. This therapy relieves stress in a very short period.

Another benefit of hot stone massage therapy is giving calmness to the mind, it helps you to go in to a state of deep meditation. Meditation helps the body to rejuvenate from losses and  to re-energize."

So I invite you to schedule a Hot Stone Massage for yourself this month and experience what I'm talking about!
