Keep track of what you read, wherever you are
Book-logging time is upon us, and because this year it's online, you can keep track of your kids' reads whether you're at home or on the road!
No more scribbling down the four picture books your ambitious 7-year-old devoured in an evening in order to transcribe the titles to the master list at the library. Now you can use your computer, phone, or tablet to keep a running list of each book your child reads, as she reads them! Just sign in to the library's online book log and you're ready to go! The book log comes equipped with its own online superhero, whose powers increase with every book added to your child's list! Let your child log his own books, and he can see how he levels up with each additional entry - extra incentive to make reading a priority this summer!
And because a great book is incentive enough, be sure to point your kids to some of the library's online readers' advisory sites, like NoveList K-8 Plus, The Stacks, and, for graphic novel fans, No Flying No Tights. There readers will be able to easily pick out their new favorite books of all time by perusing reviews, lists, and read-alikes.
