Wallkill featured in report
Wallkill Public Library
Wallkill Public Library director Mary Lou Carolan discusses the Geek the Library movement in a video featured in OCLC's annual report.

Wallkill Public Library was featured in OCLC's first digital annual report!
Why is this a big deal? OCLC is a worldwide library cooperative that advances the mission of libraries through research, advocacy, and community building. Today libraries in 113 countries from around the world are members of OCLC, but it was Wallkill that was among the few featured in the cooperative's report. Take a look at the video to find out why!

Session 3 of book club starts in January
Wednesday will be the last day of this session of the Magic Tree House Book Club at Ostrander Elementary.
The Wallkill Public Library program will start anew with its third installment on Jan. 14. The books featured during that session will be Revolutionary War on Wednesday and Abe Lincoln at Last. As usual, students will read the popular Mary Pope Osborne books and participate in activities specially designed by Wallkill Public Library children's coordinator Carolyn Thorenz to reinforce the historical  lessons and other material contained in the books. The program will again take place on Wednesdays, from 3-5 p.m., and will run through Feb. 18.
The Magic Tree House Book Club is a literacy program offered at Ostrander by the Wallkill Public Library. It was made possible by a grant the library received from Target.
