What is KCHIP?
The Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program (KCHIP) is free or low-cost health insurance for children. KCHIP is for children younger than 19 who do not have health insurance and whose family income is less than 200 percent of the federal poverty level.
We know your children's health is important to you, but you may be facing barriers, like cost or lack of access to coverage through your employer, that prevent the purchase of health insurance. Whatever the reason might be, your family may qualify for coverage through KCHIP.
Children need health insurance. If you
think your children may qualify, apply today. Questions call Becky Darnell, YSC Coordinator at 859.957.0042 or go to http://www.kidshealth.ky.gov/en/ for more information.
