Update From the Executive Director

Mill City Commons was started eight years ago by a group of risk takers who, unafraid to embrace a new idea, committed their time, enthusiasm, curiosity and financial contributions to support the organization's launch. You are invited to thank them as they are recognized at the Annual Meeting, tomorrow. I hope you will plan to attend. You may register here.

Join us for a groovy evening of cocktails, including non-alcoholic, at Tattersall Distilling this Thursday! It's our monthly Happy Hour a few weeks early and on a different week day, but it promises to be great fun! Register here.

The annual birding walks are back! Celebrate spring with the first in a series of two bird-watching walks along the river! It's a delightful way to begin your day and Jamie McBride, lead naturalist with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, will serve as your guide. Register here.

Interested in learning about a unique way to share your legacy? In addition to developing legal and living wills, many people find it important to leave their heirs and friends a document that shares their values and beliefs. MCC members, Susan Hartman and Toni Rosen host this interesting event. Learn more about this opportunity and register here.

The recent stroke suffered by an MCC member has provided abundant opportunity for personal reflection and has brought new meaning to "live each day to its fullest."  Her family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude for the many CaringBridge posts, cards, balloons and phone calls they have received. We will continue to stay in touch with the family. Thank you for your concern and good care.

~ Joan Wright
