Join us to discuss Digging to America by Ann Tyler.  Two families, who would otherwise never have come together, meet by chance at the Baltimore airport.  Each couple is awaiting the arrival of an adopted infant daughter from Korea.  After the babies from distant Asia are delivered, the families have an "arrival party," an event that is repeated every year as the two families become more deeply intertwined.

MCC Members and Guests welcome.  No reservations required.

Photo Tips:  How to Make Great Travel Photographs
Tuesday, June 10, 10:00 - 11:30 am
Bottineau Library, 55 Broadway St NE
Do you ever come back from a fascinating trip with disappointing photographs? In this program, MCC Member Mike Rosen will share some thoughts and techniques on how to raise your image quality to the level of an art form rather than simply postcard-like snapshots. Mike is both a world traveler and serious fine art photographer. He will use some of his favorite photos from around the world to illustrate how you can become aware of, see the beauty in, and clearly define your subjects. Emphasis will be on "seeing" artistically and developing a vision for your photos, as well as composition basics. The program will not cover how to use your cameras, exposure settings or editing.
