Executive Director Update

Mill City Commons volunteers delivered $4,000 worth of groceries to Ascension School today! There, a seventh grade class put together "holiday gift baskets" for 75 families - groceries to help them through the two week holiday school break. Many thanks to MCC members and neighbors for your generous contributions and to our MCC volunteers for picking up and delivering six pallets of food! Ascension School Principal Dorwatha Woods was extremely grateful as are the many who will enjoy holiday meals! Members were also very generous with donations of clothing and gifts to our neighbors at People Serving People, Mary's Place and Exodus House. Thank you for your generosity -- 'tis the Season of Giving! -- Linnea

Mill City Commons
In the Know!

Have you ever heard a member's name mentioned but you couldn't remember what they looked like?  Or maybe you've wondered whether someone else has similar interests as you?  The "Members" tab on the Mill City Commons website would help all of us answer those questions and more but member profiles have to be filled in before they'll provide answers!  In the next few weeks, Mary will be calling and asking members the profile questions.  Some examples of what is included in the profile are where you grew up, your hobbies/interests, your favorite books or movies, and it includes the member's photo.  This is a great way for members to learn about one another, and is especially helpful for new members to get to know current members.  If you prefer, you are also welcome to update your own profile by signing into the website, click on "Update My Profile" on the homepage, fill in the requested information and attach a photo!
